Write down the purpose of the list
You might want to learn how market data is presented, follow a handful of widely discussed assets, or check assets that already appear in your records. Choose a purpose before adding everything that is moving today.
This guide is about organizing observations. A star in a watchlist is not a recommendation to buy. The table also does not know your holdings, costs, goals, or tolerance for losses.
Use a consistent viewing routine
Start in Market radar, search for an asset, and use the star control to add it. Open Watchlist to see the saved set. Select an asset to compare its displayed price, 24-hour change, market cap, and hourly price chart.
Check the snapshot label and retrieval time before writing a note. If you compare the same list later, keep the same quote currency and chart range so the comparison answers a clear question.
- Choose a small initial set with a stated reason for each asset.
- Star each asset in the market table.
- Open Watchlist and select a consistent sorting method.
- Record the date, data status, and chart range alongside your observation.
- Remove assets when they no longer serve the list’s purpose.
Know where the list lives
The list belongs to the current browser storage. It does not automatically appear on another phone or computer. Clearing that storage can remove the saved choices, and a shared browser profile can expose them to other users of the same profile.
If you need a durable record of an observation, export the market rows and label the file with its purpose. The export preserves the displayed data context; it does not create a server account or synchronize your watchlist.
Observation prompt: “How did the 24-hour percentage changes differ across my selected assets at today’s lookup time?” This is more specific than “which coin is best?”
