Decide the question before exporting
If you are checking one payment, filter for the relevant period and direction. If you are reviewing all the recent data returned by the provider, remove the filters first. In either case, note that filters only operate on loaded rows; a wider date setting does not retrieve every older transaction.
Select Export CSV from the transaction timeline. The file contains the network, searched address, source, retrieval time, scope, hash, direction, native amount, symbol, timestamp, confirmation flag, block, and explorer URL. Keep those context fields.
Keep identifiers as text
Spreadsheet applications can automatically reformat data. Import addresses and transaction hashes as text, and keep native amounts as text if you need to preserve every exported digit. Work on a copy if you want to add formulas.
A readable display amount can be rounded. The exported native amount retains the precision supplied by Skooby’s normalization. Do not replace it with a rounded screenshot value during reconciliation.
- Save the original export with its retrieval date in the filename.
- Import identifier columns as text.
- Add your own notes in new columns instead of overwriting source fields.
- Retain the explorer link for each row you discuss.
- Describe the loaded-window and filter limitations in any accompanying report.
Avoid inventing missing history
If you need older records or additional assets, gather them from a provider that covers that scope and document the second source. Do not treat empty periods in this export as proof that there was no activity.
The export is not a ready-made tax return. Historical prices, fees, transfers between owned accounts, and the rules applicable to you may need separate treatment. Use the extract as evidence to organize, not as an automatic classification.
File note: Ethereum native movements returned by the provider, filtered to outgoing rows, retrieved on the date recorded in fetched_at. ERC-20 and NFT records are not included.
